In a statement given to Sabra FM, MP Mohamed Ammar announced that today we cannot talk of dictatorship when the right to protest is ensured even for opponents of Kais Saied. The politician evoked that a few months earlier, under the Mechichi government, those who were against the regime did not have this right to oppose.
In the same vein, he condemned the fact that some party leaders speak of dictatorship when they have been at the head of their parties for decades (30 and 40 years). Ammar further said that the 2014 constitution must be amended, adding that democratic forces should have pressed Kais Saied to draft a new constitution that meets the aspirations of the people.
