A tragedy occurred at Zahrouni city when a woman living in the city left for the market after having locked her two kids at home.
In the meantime, a fire broke out in the home and escalated, setting all the rooms ablaze, including the one where the two children were.
A neighbour noticed the fire and smoke and pushed the door to attempt to save the children.
He was able to remove the four-year-old eldest from the flames after suffering critical burns in several areas of his tiny body. As for the younger two-and-a-half-year-old, he was discovered charred, unable to escape the flames since his mother thought he was doing the right thing by chaining him to his chair.
