Tunisia – Nabil Ammar closely follows situation of Tunisian expatriates in Sudan

Foreign Affairs Minister Nabil Ammar, Sunday, had a telephone conversation with the Tunisian diplomatic mission in Khartoum to learn about the situation of Tunisian expatriates amid the recent armed clashes which erupted between the army and paramilitary forces last Saturday in the Sudanese capital, reads a statement of the Foreign Affairs Ministry.  

The minister called on the diplomatic mission to keep in touch with the Tunisian community and provide them with all necessary help they might need.

Ammar also stressed the need to ensure the protection of the headquarters of the diplomatic mission in Khartoum and exercise constant  vigilance.   

Currently, there are 110 Tunisian expatriates in Sudan, most of them work for regional and international organizations, the same source said.
