Ezzitouna University sent a letter this Saturday, August 20, 2022, to the President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed calling on him to interfere urgently to settle the situation of Noureddine Khadmi, currently in a sit-in at Tunis Carthage Airport.
The University said that it closely monitoring the situation of Noureddine Khadmi, on detachment in a university in one of the Gulf countries. It points out that Noureddine Khadmi must join the workplace immediately, recollecting academic and scientific teachers at Ezzitouna University abroad.
The University clarifies that Noureddine Khadmi has introduced himself to the authorities concerned to carry out the required legal procedures, to get the authorization to travel. It notes that this is a civic and constitutional law as long as there is no legal hindrance.
“Insofar as the President of the Republic represents the guarantor of the Constitution, we call you to interfere in an emergency in favour of the citizen Noureddine Khadmi in order to regularize his situation and permit him to join his workplace,” said the University.
