Scientific Committee member Mahjoub Ouni confirmed that coronavirus infections are still on the rise, stating that the peak of this wave is predicted to be reached in the coming days.
Ouni clarified on private radio on Monday that the massive spread of Omicron has strengthened herd immunity developed by infection or through vaccination.
In addition, he added that it is anticipated that the number of cases of contamination will be revised downwards on the condition that no other mutations of covid are registered.
