Prime minister Hichem Mechichi paid a visit on Saturday to the COVID-19 field hospital established at the sports city of El Menzah designed to provide the necessary care to patients with coronavirus.
Mechichi marked on this occasion the mobilization of the government and its various structures in order to strengthen this care unit with the fundamental human and logistical resources.
He also commended the efforts of medical executives to have provided to the national effort in the fight against the coronavirus, indicates a press release from the presidency of the government.
The head of government took note in this regard to the provision of the medical and paramedical framework in the event of an increase in the number of contaminated cases. Mechichi also took note of the equipment available to welcome the sick.
The hospital’s capacity is estimated at 84 beds spread over 04 care units and 04 resuscitation beds in addition to the preparation of a space that will soon be equipped to accommodate patients if necessary.
This hospital was created and financed through a public-private partnership, under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Professional Integration. The decision to install this hospital was taken in order to strengthen the State’s efforts in the fight against the coronavirus.
