Doctors, pharmacists and public health dentists are starting a general strike on Friday followed by a sit-in outside the headquarters of the Ministry of Health.
Demonstrators are commanding for a systematic transition to family doctors and the establishment of approximately 800 contract doctors, stated Mohamed Hedi Soussi, general secretary of the union of doctors, pharmacists and dentists.
Souissi pointed out the duty of the supervisory authorities in the developmentof the situation. He said that escalation is possible,adding that call for an open general strike cannot be ruled out
