Houe speaker Rached Ghannouchi said that today is a great day as he prayed for the soul of the revolutions martyrs.
Speaking at a press conference, he said “No one was sure about the result of the vote, and it is proof that Tunisia is living a true democracy in which the people are the decision-makers “
He pointed out that he had voluntarily accepted this choice and the MPs had the final say, he stressed.
“I did not land on a tank , every time we live a test after another …I was not afraid for myself if wasn’t chosen ….these days will alternate among the people” he said.
He added, “This is another day for Tunisian democracy, and I thank everyone who contributed to it, Tunisia demands more consolidation of democracy and a culture of dialogue”.
