On the occasion of the 6th anniversary since the adoption of the constitution , House speakerRached Ghannouchi declared that 9 years
since the revolution ignited and 6 years after the ratification of a new constitution Tunisia is still suffering from a social gap and growing inequalities.
He added that despite the state’s admission of the reality of marginalization after the revolution, this gap has grown, he called for the necessity to shape development policy.
Ghannouchi also discussed the worsening of unemployment, the deterioration of services in terms of health, education, transport and others, particularly in marginalized areas compared to coastal areas.
He emphasised that the social situation has become a threat to the democratic path and a warning to the social ladder that might lead to a social explosion.
