President of the republic Kais Saïed, met Washington on Wednesday, with Democratic Senator Bob Menendez, chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the U.S. Senate, and Ranking Member of the Committee, Republican Senator James Risch.
The meeting was a chance for the Head of State to examine the reality situation in Tunisia, unlike allegations incited by some who are bent on splashing the reputation of Tunisia and damaging its image and the choices of its people expressed since July 2021.
The President of the Republic, who took part at the US Summit States, desired to recall the measures he has taken with large popular support, emphasising that Tunisia is preparing to organize legislative elections in full respect of the schedule previously fixed.
