Journalists and technicians at Shems FM are planning sit-ins starting Monday, March 2, the moves come as a conclusion of the radio worsening situation and the advanced blur in regards to its future and the rights of its workers.
A meeting was held last Thursday, February 27, 2020, at the headquarters of Shems FM Radio in the attendance of its Union structures, during which an agreement was reached on the following points:
- The needs for Shems FM file to be a priority to PM Elyes Fakhfakh.
- An invitation for the finance minister to hold a meeting with stakeholders to find an urgent solution and decide the institution faith to ensure its continuity and the right of its workers as soon as possible.
- Al-Karama Holding is called to fulfil ist signed commitment with the union structures,especially paying wages.
- A call to all involved parties to pay their financial dues.
