Seven people were wounded during clashes between, Tuesday, March 30, 2021, a number of young people from Tataouine and security forces, who employed tear gas to disperse the demonstrators, according to the Tunisie Numérique correspondent in the region.
Most of the wounded are in stable condition, maintained a medical source from the Tataouine regional hospital, with the exception of a young man whose injury needed surgery because he was hit by a tear gas canister at the level of the head causing him a haemorrhage.
The aforementioned 25-year-old was evacuated to Sfax, where he underwent an operation on his head.
