Ennahdha Shura leader Abdelkarim Harouni declared that the story of payment for supporters of his party is a lie and formally accused Kasbah of it, in reference to the presidency of the government. It is, all the same, weird that we come to this point of absurdity. The fact that a seemingly sane person is openly requesting a judicial inquiry against himself. Because, first of all, this case of demanding compensation for the “victims of tyranny” is not fiction.
On the other hand, yes! He is right concerning the other point, that this account emerged from Kasbah. He was hardly two to three hundred yards wrong. Because this affair began in Kasbah, it was not between the walls of the presidency of the government, as he wanted to imply, but a few meters away, on the Place of Kasbah. When someone yelled into the crowd that the government was going to have to sort out this compensation problem, and gave it an ultimatum till July 25. And that someone is none other than Abdelakrim Harouni himself.
It is incredible that he has overlooked what he announced just a few days ago. And fortunately, there were hundreds of eyewitnesses, on the spot, not to consider the tens of thousands who had the opportunity to watch the sequence of this speech, widely broadcast on the networks.
So there are two things: Either this gentleman has amnesia. This is particularly severe considering the responsibilities he has within his party and in the parliament. Or, he has the boldness to deny, deliberately, a truth, known to everyone. What is, even more serious. is to take people for what they are not, you have to have some nerve!
