The National Water Distribution Utility (SONEDE) has declared that five governorates will encounter a disruption in drinking water for a month.
This is a portion of the company’s yearly maintenance program, as well as the blocking of the Oued Medjerda canal for maintenance and the rehabilitation of the Aroussia dam.
These changes will be recorded, from Wednesday, January 6, 2021, in all the delegations of Nabeul, Sousse, Monastir, Mahdia, and the delegations of Sakiet Ezzit, Sakiet Daïer, Sfax city, Sfax West and South and Tyna in Sfax.
It is anticipated that the distribution will resume its normal rhythm in the areas affected, from Friday, February 5, 2021, reads a press release from SONEDE
