West signs joint statement to upgrade Ukraine’s air defence

Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk (pictured) announced on Monday that Western countries have signed a joint statement to upgrade Ukraine’s air defence system.

“Today, Czechia, Estonia, Poland, France, Georgia, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Sweden, the UK, and the U.S. have signed a joint statement on the urgent necessity to upgrade Ukraine air-defence,” said Stefanchuk, adding that Ukraine is “genuinely grateful for support in this difficult time.”

Stefanchuk asserted that the signatory countries will “support the military and civilian defense of Ukraine” by supplying them with “anti-tank and anti-air weapons,” as well as “provide humanitarian aid and protect Ukrainian nuclear objects that become a threat to all neighboring states.”
