Spanish health officials recorded 217 new deaths due to coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 27,321.
Meanwhile, Spain recorded 849 infections since yesterday’s update, increasing the nation’s total number of COVID-19 cases to 229,540. The number of daily coronaviruses infections dropped below 1,000 for the first time since March 12.
A total of 143,374 Spanish residents have successfully recovered from the disease so far.
