The secretary of transportation Hichem Ben Ahmed positively affirmed the operational readiness of transportation fleets for the upcoming school year.
The bus fleet was boosted by 100 local buses with another 65 in waiting, said Minster Ben Ahmed in an exclusive interview with Shams FM.
The minister pointed out that Tunisia suffers tremendously a shortfall of 750 to 800 buses on the national level. He also asserted the cost of buying a new bus is between 300 and 350 thousand dinars, while the price of used buses is 30 thousand dinars.
