Officers from the Manouba district intercepted, at the the level of Borj El Amri toll station, a car, with three young people on board, who were transporting no less than 3,500 narcotic tablets.
They confessed to being part of a drug trafficking network and identified their accomplices, including two physicians who provided them with medical prescriptions to purchase the tablets that they brought back from Jendouba to resell them near schools in Tunis.
These three people as well as the two doctors were arrested and three other accomplices were actively sought.
