The administrative body of the Regional Labor Union of the State of Tataouine convened on Thursday, January 11, 2024, under the supervision of the deputy general secretary of the UGTT, Sami Tahri. Tahri reiterated the call for the initiation of a social dialogue to address different problems and tackle critical issues.
During the meeting, the administrative body examined the overall situation in the country and the union’s standpoint on numerous political, economic, and social matters. This provided an opportunity to update union members on current developments, particularly about the breakdown of dialogue with the government and its negative effect on social stability. Further, regional issues related to development and stalled projects in the Tataouine region were addressed.
