Tunisia – VIDEO: We must set the example if we want to be obeyed and respected

A video sequence that is circulating on social networks shows a traffic police officer fining a driver, for neglecting to wear a protective mask, the driver took pleasure in recording the agent and harassing him to attest that he was fining people who were not wearing a mask, while he himself was not wearing one.

If it is true that this driver was, somewhere, right, insofar as, if you want to be respected and obeyed, you would have to begin by setting an example yourself. Nevertheless, what this driver did not comprehend, otherwise, he presumably would not have harangued the agent in this way, is that for an agent who is doing his 12 hours of work on the road, it would be required, at least five or six masks per day, so that it is appropriately protected.

It should not be overlooked, either that these gentlemen of law enforcement, being in close with citizens, and being forced to transmit documents to them and to receive them from them, should, in addition to masks, be equipped with at least five pairs of clean gloves per day, so that you can guard yourself and others. Nevertheless, if we do the math, we will soon find ourselves with sums of the order of five or six dinars in costs per day. Which is, of course, exceeding a law enforcement officer’s budget. So, if this gentleman desired to do the buzz at the cost of a police officer, he will have, instead of having him charged, succeeded in drawing the attention of people and officials to this problem of protection, so that the State should, logically, give its agents, to protect them from disease, and, precisely, to set an example, before asking them to fine people who do, quite like them!
