A 6.8 magnitude quake was reported off the coast of Central Chile on Sunday, according to data provided by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The epicentre of the earthquake was 141 kilometres west-north-west from the town of Corral in the nation’s Los Rios region.
The tremor hit the region at a depth of 10.0 kilometres and it remains unknown, as of yet, whether any damages were sustained.
