5.2-magnitude earthquake hits Croatia

A 5.2-magnitude earthquake hit central Croatia and Zagreb on Monday morning, the European-Mediterranean Seismological center (EMSC) announced, damaging buildings outside the capital but with no fatalities reported.

The quake woke up residents in Zagreb at 0530 GMT when it hit some 50 kilometres to the south near the town of Petrinje, where the tremblings tore off bricks and left rifts in some building facades.
